What is Monsta Infinite?
Monsta Infinite is a play-to-earn decentralized NFT game that takes inspiration from “Axie Infinity, a similar gaming concept and ecosystem built on the Ethereum blockchain network. Like Axie Infinity, Monsta Infinite has a similar style where it showcases a virtual world filled with creatures that can only be described as a cross between Pokémon and CryptoKitties. These creatures or “Monstas” are prehistoric by nature and live in an imagined world called “Shani”. Their whole existence is based around staying safe from their enemy called “Jilaka” in a plight to summon what is known as the “Inception Monsta” who can save and protect them.
This underlying storyline is featured as gameplay for each user who can choose multiple pathways in the games’ story mode. This presents each player with a unique set of obstacles and storylines that all have their own original variations and randomized aspects, allowing a unique gaming experience to take place for anyone who plays.
A Play 2 Earn Model Based on Binance Smart Chain
Monsta Infinite uses Binance Smart Chain (BSC), a less saturated blockchain ecosystem that allows transactions to take place at a fraction of the price of Ethereum. This aims to improve user experience by making gameplay more affordable, accessible, and subject to much lower gas fees.
Moreover, the game aspires to remove common flaws that other NFT-based games currently experience. These are related to overcoming issues of wealth disparity by limiting the power of richer players who have more collateral and less skill. Providing a more financially sustainable solution to manage the overpopulation of characters and assets. Creating a player hierarchy structure where players are matched with other players at the same level of capabilities. And, overcoming the challenges of bot mechanics by utilizing a random captcha to ensure all players are genuine.
A Duel Token Economy
Monsta Infinite will feature two tokens within its ecosystem, MONI, and STT.
The MONI token is the gaming platform’s native governance token that allows holders to vote on major decisions and stake them to earn passive income and dividends. The token has a fixed supply of 270,000,000 in total.
The Stamen Tellus Token (STT), which can be bought from external exchanges, can be used for purchasing in-game assets and fusing MONSTAs (in combination with MONI).
Why We Invested?
NFT games like Axie Infinity and Decentraland, to name a few, have no doubt been very successful in recent times, creating a whole new wave and style of engagement that members of society worldwide have with blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. Such platforms have huge user bases and have undoubtedly paved the way for similar concepts to emerge that build upon them with new and improved visions.
We believe that Monsta Infinite represents a project that will do exactly that. It provides a gaming experience based on a selection of tried and tested features seen in previous NFT games and seeks to improve them to create a more sustainable, cost-friendly, and equal ecosystem. Therefore, it is not reinventing the wheel but enhancing it and making it more accessible, user-friendly, and cheaper.
